Hydra Design Labs was hired to design the concept electric pickup truck that became the Lordstown Motors Endurance prototype. Not long after, Hydra was tasked with refining the design into a production ready vehicle. Campbell Coachworks was contracted for the Color Materials & Finish (CMF) Design phases of the production program.
The Lordstown Endurance has a different perspective, an all electric pickup truck designed to fulfill the needs of fleet customers. A unique challenge for CMF in that the buyers were not individuals, rather companies, agencies and departments. Coachworks crafted a customized approach, designing CMF based on task and duty requirements vs buyer profiles and consumer trends.
