General Motors: Chevrolet VOLT EREV (EXTENDED RANGE ELECTRIC VEHICLE) Project: Interior Pattern Development Involvement: Chevrolet EREV have a very unique personality because they are 50% eco friendly vehicle, 50% high-tech futuristic vehicle, I found it an interesting challenge to design interior patterns that would compliment this bi-polar attitude. Throughout the program I found myself looking to the natural world for inspiration. As you can see from the above panels, I found patterns that were organic yet structural, complimented the theme of this vehicle. Bubble structures, microscopic views of DNA strands as well as tile work all lent themselves to creating patterns that show up in the vehicle interior.
